My name is Joel Contreras. Playing football at some point was not an interest. Then I ended up playing. I believe the same thing can happen again. Playing football became a dream and now it feels like it can become reality. I plan on attending college, graduating with a degree, playing football and be very successful at it. I have always set goals for myself which I have achieved and playing on a collegiate level is at the top of my list. I know what makes me a great candidate for the team is my determination, my will to learn, my dedication and my belief in teamwork. That has brought me up to the point where I am at now. What makes me different from other recruits is my ethic and values. On a daily basis I tried to showcase what I am capable of and went home with a satisfaction that I was able to perform. My values have come from my home education. I have always been taught to be grateful for any opportunity, any suggestion or any help that my superiors have given to me. I have also showcased on the field that I carry with me a talent that is not always seen. I know I can kick and punt at a great level and plan to improve that to be the man for the job wherever I am given an opportunity.
