Updated profile from Kohl's Professional Kicking Camps:

I never would have dreamed that I would be in this situation. I was a soccer player who turned kicker during the pandemic. I was kicking on the football field closest to my house during the lockdown and the coach there encouraged me to kick for his team (Stratford High School). I contacted TSSAA and was allowed to join their team even though I attended Nashville School of the Arts, (my school does not have a football team). I was the first student from my school but I encouraged others and we finished the 2022-2023 season with 4 NSA students on the team.
Although I started off as a "self-taught"kicker, I figured out that I really enjoy it and I decided to pursue it as an option for college. I have attended several camps and I continue to work to improve my skills. I know that I can get better with every kick I take. I critique every kick and try to figure out what I need to do to make it better.
I have played sports all of my life, but working with the football team reminded me of the importance of teamwork. The support of your teammates help keep a kicker from feeling isolated and keep him grounded. At the same time, a kicker should encourage his team in return.
I never thought that I would be looking at the possibility of kicking in college, but I am confident that it is an achievable goal and I look forward to being an asset to a team in the future.
