Success often requires a level of personal commitment that far exceeds the actions of one’s competitors. That commitment was realized during my sophomore season as our football team reached the semifinals of the TSSAA High School State Football Championship. Though we didn’t prevail as a State Champion, I learned through defeat that the burning desire to work even harder to achieve the status of champion is within me. In response, the necessity of filling the gaps created by graduating seniors has driven me to a leadership role both on and off the field, knowing a stronger bond with my teammates is vital as we chase the coveted State ring. With these experiences, I have certainty that my athletic frame and abilities coupled with the innate desire to outwork the competition will provide the foundation to have a great impact at the college level.
Additionally, I have built my academic achievements from the same pillars; focused study habits and a desire for absolute success. I do not shy away from a difficult class schedule, knowing these challenges will lead me to a more fulfilled academic experience. My athletic ability and academic success, aligned with my determination and focus on hard work, make me an ideal candidate for college athletics.
