When I was a young child I was on the heavy side and the kids would make fun of me and push me around. I joined karate and learned to love who I was and be confident in myself. I worked my way to an advanced purple belt and won a state championship in my weight class.
I have played baseball since I was 5 years old. The club teams I played for won many championships throughout the years. I have 8 home runs in my career including 1 grand slam. I played catcher on the high school baseball team for 1 year on the Junior Varsity team. I am on the high school track and field team. I throw the shot put and discus. I won a bronze medal in the St. Andrew’s Relays in the shot put this past season.
I play violin in the high school orchestra. I have been playing violin since the 6th grade. I have won an individual competition and my middle School and high school orchestras have won many competitions. I have participated in UIL competitions in Art where I placed 1st in my grade class and won a gold medal.
I have been on many winning teams throughout my life, and I have also been on many losing teams. I have personally won and lost individual competitions. The main thing is to give it all you got and leave everything on the field. So no matter if you win or lose you have no regrets because you gave it your all.
I have always been interested in playing football. I started playing flag football when I was 6 years old. I started playing tackle football in the 6th grade and have played for my middle school and high school since then. Out of all of the sports that I have played, football is my favorite. I would love to continue playing football at a college where I can achieve my educational goals. My ultimate goal is to get a great education that ends with a master’s degree in engineering.
I have learned that I can push myself beyond the limits I originally thought I had. I have always had to fight hard for the positions that I have played in any sport. In football I have played every position on the offensive line, defensive line and linebacker. I have had to play against some of the biggest players in the game and have always been able to hold my own.
I love this game.
