I am an incoming senior running back at Westlake High School in Austin, Texas. This will be my third year on Varsity. My junior year was supposed to be my breakout season but I was injured in the 5th game of the season. Although, I only played in 4 and 1/2 games, I was still selected 2nd team all-district running back.
I suffered a broken tibia and fibula that required surgery to insert a metal rod. By the grace of God, I am fully cleared and participating in spring ball.
This injury has not only taught me how to overcome adversity but it showed me that tomorrow is never promised. It has inspired me to continue to work harder to be the best player, teammate, student, son, and friend I can be to those around me.
My goal is to continue my football career in college while studying to get a degree in business.
