Ever since I was a boy I have dreamed about playing at the college level for football and maybe some day playing in the NFL. Knowing how hard it is to make it that far, I have created new goals at each different level of football I have played. I always want and work hard to ensure that I am a starter on the team I am playing on. I realized that objective in middle school, my freshman year, and on the varsity football team, where I was a starter my sophomore year. In the 2 years I have played varsity football, I have not only learned more about the sport, I have learned a lot about life and values. I have noticed how much football has turned me into a responsible, young adult. After college, I want to end up working in sports management for either individual athletes or a team.
I realize that I not only have to work hard on the field but that I also have to work hard in the classroom. Since I'm dyslexic, it makes me work even harder to get the grades that I need in order to get into college. I feel this has taught me that hard work pays off and is needed to be successful, whether in sports or in academics.
