My Name is Cole Tidwell, I am a 6’00”, 180 pound Junior at Bastrop High School in Bastrop, Texas, and my projected graduation date is 2020. Bastrop High School was established in 1898 and is one of the oldest high schools in Texas. This rich tradition is something I am proud to be a part of and would carry with me to the next level. Earning an athletic scholarship and attending a respected university is a long term goal for me. I would like to attend a university that is committed to a winning and respected football program with a sound academic program. I feel confident that the school I choose will be a place where my hard work and dedication will allow me to contribute athletically and make a positive impact as a student, leader and player.
I am a very diverse athlete. My sophomore year, I played multiple positions at the varsity level. I played Quarterback, Receiver, Cornerback and Safety. In 2017, I was voted by the coaching staff as the most versatile player and earned a starting position. I contribute this versatility to the foundation of my speed. I lettered my freshman year in varsity track and made solid contributions to our sprint relay team and 4 X 200 meter relay team which reached the regional finals. In my sophomore year of track, we reached the regional meet again in the sprint relay and I earned Academic All State. I also participated in several football camps recently and posted multiple 4.5 second forty yard dash times that were consistent and repeated.
Academically, I have a weighted 4.00 GPA and I am in the top ten percent of my class. Many of my high school courses thus far have been Pre-AP level classes and I am in the ROTC program. I have high expectations for how I perform in the classroom and I am dedicated to this performance by arriving before school begins to receive tutoring and to put in extra work. I know that this hard work translates to academic achievement and this work ethic will ultimately deliver the life results I seek. I am a student athlete; therefore, my coach can always count on me to be academically eligible and to serve as a positive role model to my teammates in and out of the classroom.NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the exclusive athletic recruiting network that educates, assists, and connects, families, coaches and companies so they can save time and money, get ahead and give back.
