John Paul DeLaRosa '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 275 lb, 6'6" Offensive Left Tackle from Bay City, Texas.  I have started for the Bay City Black Cats 4A Varsity Team for 2 years and I have earned All-County 1st Team and All-District Honorable Mention.  I am currently the Offensive Line Team Captain.  As Team Captain I work to maintain a positive momentum with my O-Line both on and off campus.  I assist in the coordination for my Offensive Line to participate in local O-Line Challenges which are not school sponsored.

I am currently part of the Scholars Program and maintain a 4.2694 GPA Weighted / 3.1429 GPA Un-Weighted.  My SAT score is 1310 and I am ranked 35 out of 269.  I have an interest in Agricultural Engineering Technology and Agricultural Studies.

I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and field.  I am very versatile and open to different types of schools - size or location are not deal breakers for me.  I would like to pursue a university with an outstanding academic and athletic reputation.  Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make and immediate impact on the team.  In short, I am very coachable, a team player and can play effective offense and defense.
