Jesse Rodriguez '15 Recruiting Profile

Character defines an individual's qualities and creates the personality which the world witnesses.  I feel like my character has been centered around the idea of appreciation.  I may not have had the struggles that others have faced, but I understand how valuable friends and family are and I have faced enough injuries to know that every moment on the field is priceless.  I realize that opportunities are few so I want to make the best of my academic and athletics endeavors.  Excelling in the classroom and on the playing field has always been fueled by my desire to be the best.  Thanks to my family and other supporting members, I have always been pushed to take honors classes and compete for the varsity teams.  I have been a regular on the honor roll even when taking dual credit and college courses.  I made the varsity football team as sophomore and the varsity basketball, baseball, and track team as a freshman.  It is my character that tells me to pursue my true identity as I face future challenges in which I have the heart, desire, and dedication to overcome and accomplish.
