Joshua Thatcher '20 Recruiting Profile

One of the biggest highlights of my football career involved winning my high school football team’s kicking competition which would determine who would be the starter. I was a freshman, and virtually nobody assumed that I would make it past the first round. But I trusted myself, and knew that I worked harder to perfect my technique than any other kicker on the team. I ended up winning the position, and have never looked back since. Continuing my journey, I have been working hard on my technique, to ensure a replicable and consistent kick every time I step on the field.

With this in mind, I believe wholeheartedly that I have both the talent, and more importantly, the work-ethic to succeed at the collegiante level. Additionally, I believe that my academic success within high school is another indicator of my ability to work hard with a goal in mind. My time as co-captain of the varisty football team has further developed my determination to succeed, along with my leadership capabilities. I look forward to utilizing these for whichever team takes a chance on me as a player.
