I have participated in many different sports since I was a boy. However, I found my passion in the 6th grade when I joined a select football team. It was during my 7th grade year that I experienced a tremendous amount of growth, playing a number of positions. I finished my 7th grade year playing on a select team that went to the FBU national championships. My team worked hard to make it to the championships, overcoming many obstacles. In the end, we lost a hard-fought game in the semi-finals. That loss, and the many lessons learned during that season has pushed me to be a better person, leader and student. It has also given me a stronger commitment to the game and the desire to stretch my talents and abilities.
Character and excellence have been the primary motivations for me since I was a boy. Although I have been blessed with strong athletic ability, because of my commitment to excellence, my greatest attributes are my strong work ethic and heart. This drives me to go hard every repetition, every sprint, every down. I believe I have what it takes to compete at the next level and to make a contribution to any team.
My current goals are to maximize my development and understanding of the game, while establishing a solid academic foundation as I finish out junior high and high school. Long-term, I am looking for a program that has a commitment to excellence and teamwork, and one that will continue to challenge me to stretch and be my best, academically and athletically.
