My name is Benjamin (Ben) Stewart and I currently live in Corpus Christi, Texas, and attend Richard King High School as a junior. I currently hold the position of starting varsity quarter back, and have since my sophomore year. Education is my primary objective at this time and I have maintained a 3.7 grade average or better since junior high school. I was nominated for the National Honor Society in my sophomore year, which I anticipate being accepted this year as a junior. Obtaining a college degree from an accredited university is my upmost priority upon completion of high school. I have not yet chosen a career, but i am researching the fields of Federal law enforcement and mechanical engineering.
I have successfully demonstrated leadership skills on and off of the field, earning the respect of my team, my instructors, my coaches, and my peers. I have also spoken with and assisted fellow team mates with academics, stressing the importance of grades, commitment, goals, and achieving a good education. I believe that there is a difference of being part of a team or being PART of a team. I am PART of a team. What that means to me, is that you strive to help and assist every member of the team in order to achieve your objective as a team. I believe this attribute is what separates myself from most people.
Your character is defined as your moral qualities and defines you as a person. I come from a family of five people and I have been raised to respect others and those around me. I guess to keep it simple, I would say that I treat others the way I would want to be treated.
