I'm a senior student athlete at L. G. Pinkston HS. I'm enrolled in the law academy of the school. Currently, I am the valedictorian of my senior class 2014. I'm a student of the game and enjoy playing football. At this time I stand at 5’11 in. and weigh 190 lbs., I'm the starting safety, a team captain of the varsity football team and am 2nd year letterman. I'm in the mock trial team and participate in the science fair, which my freshman year my team won in district competition. Football has allowed me to discover talents which I use both on and off the field. On the field, I'm a leader; I exhibit this by attending practice, listen to my coaches and teammates and practice hard. I do my best and encourage my teammates to do the same. My best has earned me the respect of my teammates and coaches named me Varsity Defensive Lineman of the Year. I'm competitive. I'm a fouth year starter and team captain, and though we had a losing season this year, I made the all-district 2nd team. I'm disciplined, during the offseason I study film and train at Zoom Sports under guidance of Coach Anthony Dorsett Jr. In the classroom, I pay attention and complete all my work. I ask questions and study to have good grades. I lead in the classroom by doing my classwork and not engaging in disruptive behavior, I realize that my fellow classmates look to me for example because I'm varsity football player and team captain. I know I can influence my school’s environment by approving and disapproving actions and choices performed by my friends, teammates and fellow students during the day, because I'm student-athlete.
I'm athletic and perform well in athletic competition. I'm intelligent and game knowledgeable, my edge is my ability to maintain my nerve under pressure, play smart and get physically aggressive to establish my dominance in the game. As I continue to play the game I improve my technique and skills, I also attend camps to get quality instruction and coaching and compare myself to other student-athletes by participating in combines. Many coaches have stated that I have the potential to play in the next level and be one of the elite in high school football as long as I continue to develop and improve on my game.
A college or university should consider me for their program because I want a college education and believe have the academic drive to do well and take advantage of the education that the school offers. I love football; it is fun to me and would like to use my talents and athletic ability to help me attain my educational goal. My goal is to attend law school and be a prosecutor. So, I like to attend a school that has a strong pre-law program and law school to transition into. I'm willing to attend any school that will offer me an opportunity to play football and earn a solid education. I'm willing to leave my home state to pursue my educational goals. My football goals are to be a starter and contribute to the team’s success. I believe I can be 4 year contributor, my hard work and competitiveness will allow me to get some playing time as a freshman and eventually become a 4 down 4 quarter starter and team leader.
