The major details of my life that have influenced who I am are my faith in God, my family, and my dyslexia. Through my dyslexia, I have learned to push through and overcome any obstacle that is in front of me. My family has instilled in me the character and expectations I need to succeed in life and persevere through difficult times. My faith in God has taught me to keep the bigger picture of life in mind. I know no matter how my circumstances turn out, He has me and uses all things for my good. My academic goal for high school was to be inducted into the National Honors Society, and I achieved that goal at the end of my junior year. My academic goal for college is to graduate with at least a bachelor's degree in Business Management and finish with a strong GPA.
I grew up watching college football with my mom every Saturday during football season since I was born. This is where my love and passion for football was born. Football has taught me that I have a lot of grit. For me, quitting is not an option. The biggest obstacle I've had to overcome is being underestimated because of my size. I've been scoffed at and discounted because "I'm too small". This has motivated me to develop a strong work ethic, grit, and perseverance. If you tell me I can't, I'll work with every fiber of my being to prove you wrong. I am a servant leader. I lead by example. I don't expect anyone to do anything I'm not willing to do myself. I never view myself as being above others. I look for ways to support, encourage, and serve others.
