Douglas Parkhurst '10 Recruiting Profile

I am a physical 6'2" 225 Senior TE/DE from Fort Worth, Texas. I started at both TE and DE as a senior (two year starter at TE). I run the 40 in 4.9 seconds and have a 3.6/4.0 GPA (Honors/AP). I am a hard worker, possess a positive attitude, and driven to succeed on the field and in the classroom. I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and field. Furthermore, I would like to pursue a university with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of engineering, mathematics, or finance. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could redshirt my freshman year to get bigger, stronger, and faster to enhance my impact on a winning program. I believe my best fit would be at the DI, DII, or NAIA level; however, I will seriously consider high academic DIII opportunities.
