Personal Statement

I have been a captain and starting QB for the Lampasas varsity since my sophomore year. We have competed in a district that that Texas Football ranks as the 4th toughest district in Texas to include Waco LaVega, 2015 4A state champs, China Springs, 4th round contenders, and Gatesville (We lost by 2 points) who went to the 3rd. I mention all this to say that I have competed against the best and I have gotten better. I love to compete. This year we will see those teams again and we will be ready for them. We have shifted to a pass heavy offense which has allowed me to show my competitive spirit more than ever. Going from the Wing-T to the spread has opened up my abilities and made football more fun. In seven games I have over 1400 yards passing and 17 TD's. We are becoming more confident and more unified with every game.

Football is a legacy and it runs in my blood. My Grandfather was drafted to the Minnesota Vikings in the late 60's, where he played in Super Bowl IV.  My great uncle was a QB at TCU in the late 60's. Football is in my blood and I want to find a strong university that requires honor and integrity from its teachers, coaches, students, and players. I want to carry on my family legacy as a football player in college and then hopefully enter into the NFL.
