Joshua Mixon '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Josh Mixon and I play football for the Clear Creek Wildcats in League City, Texas. League City is just outside of Houston, Texas. I’ve played football since I was eight years old and I am anxious to pursue an opportunity to play at the collegiate level. I have a strong work ethic on the field and in the classroom.

In the classroom, I rank 52nd out of 565 (Top 10%) and participate in Pre-AP and AP classes. I carry a 4.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. I have a desire to pursue studies in Forensic Science upon entering college.  On the field, I started all eleven games last year at left guard for a team that won 9 games and lost 2. We captured the 24-5A District Championship with 5 wins and 0 losses. I won All District Honorable Mention Honors for my play at left guard. I graded out at an 90% and had 80 knockdowns. I am also a member of the Clear Creek Powerlifting Team and Track Team where I  throw the shot and discus. I placed fifth and sixth in discus respectively this past spring.

I am really excited about this year and my new position at center. I would love to become a part of your team to fulfill my dream as a student-athlete.
