My Name is Elijah Windham, I'm in the graduating class of 2023. I play Corner and Safety and am very excited about playing my Junior year at 7X TAPPS Texas Football High School State Champions Midland Christian High School (Midland, TX). I have an older brother who ran at ASU, he ran the 400m hurdles on their track team. My older sister played rugby and is going to the University of Ottawa to become a lawyer and my youngest sister who loves to be creative and artistic. My mom and Dad are my inspiration and idols. They have taught me what it means to have strong family values and taught me to hold the strongest of values, integrity in my heart. They have also taught me that hard works pays off and the truth of my character is rolled out through my actions and my attitude, and that student - athlete is more important than being an athlete - student and the importance of setting goals for your life after football.
I have maintained excellent grades, receiving the Midland Independent School District Academic Award, and have two consecutive semesters of 90 or above average in core and high school credits. There were only four football players out of over a hundred who received this award. My goal is to obtain a Doctoral degree while playing the sport I love.
I'm blessed to have a wonderful family, friends and coaches that have supported me, believed in me and lifted me up when things haven't gone as planned. My goal is to wake up every day with the drive to be better than the day before ("Did you get better today" mindset from Ryan Murphy) and strive to the best student, teammate, leader and son I can be.
God bless,
Elijah Windham
