I started playing football in 7th grade. I never really had any interest in it, only playing because my friends played it too. From then on I played consistently every year. I never was very good. I only did what the coach told me to do no more no less but lately, my 11th grade year I've almost fallen in love with the sport.
My greatest strength is my ability to listen and adapt when a coach tells me to do something, I take it to heart and do my best to understand what they meant and how they want it done. If I truly can't figure out what I'm doing wrong or what my job is I ask my coach and integrate what they say. I am an incredibly dedicated person driven by my extreme competitiveness and slight ego.
During practice I put my all into every play and drill. After each of which I think about what went right and how to repeat it, along with what went wrong and how to correct it. Even when i'm not playing, I try to get mental reps in by watching my defensive ends and opponent tackles.
These factors along with my self-made sleep schedule, nutritional plan, stretch routine and other daily personal habits all help me to be the best athlete I can be.
Even though I hurt my GPA during my freshman and first semester of sophomore year, I've been Working to increase it to where I'm one of the very top in my class. Whenever one of my fellow classmates needs help with a subject I'm quick to help them comprehend and better understand what they're doing. I'm also taking multiple dual credit courses, have been in honors classes, and compete in multiple UIL events, which help with discipline.
When I find the time too, I volunteer for my school's events, help people out when help is needed, and try to be a good example for the people around me.
When high school is over, I hope to get into a respected College where I can earn my engineering degree, play football, preferably as a defensive end, and push myself to be the greatest version of myself that I can be. Someone my future kids can look up to.
I began the year as #55, but was switched to #44 early in the season.
