I first became interested in football my 7th grade year. I’ve been watching the NFL and college football for as long as I can remember, so when the opportunity came around for me to go try out for the team I didn’t disappoint. I went 110% percent on every single drill even if I didn’t like it and coaches took note of it. That season I lead the district in touchdown catches receiving yards and I brought that work ethic up with me through JV and the Varisty level.
I’ve definely learned a lot about myself as an athlete but also as a person. I learned that I don’t have any quit any where in my body. Even when I wanted to quit weather in be on the field or in the classroom my mind and body just wouldn’t let me stop until I got it perfect.
I am very ambitious and have many goals I want to achieve in my life academically and sports wise. Academically, at the end of high school I want to finish with all A’s in every single one of my classes and be on the honor roll. Sports wise, I want to lead the PISD district in receiving yards as an incoming junior and make everybody turn their heads and know who I am.
I haven’t had the easiest road to where I am today. I wasn’t just given everything I have. I wasn’t just given a starting spot I had to work my tail off every single day competing for that spot becasuse no one was going to take my opportunity to play.
One of my main skills on the field is that I’m very fast especially for my age, height, and weight. I can’t remember the last time I’ve been beat in a race in track or someone catching me as I sprint down the sideline.
Thank you for listening to my story, I look forward to hearing from you coaches!
