Hello,
My name is Matthew V Thompson; the purpose of this letter is to express my sincere interest in your school and athletic program.
I am a multi talented athlete with 4.7 speeds in the forty, looking for a university or college that can harness my scholastic aptitude and athletic abilities. As an upcoming sophomore, I have been promoted by my coaches to play Junior Varsity (JV) Football in the fall of 2018, with a great opportunity to play Varsity. I am sure to grow into a nice size Wide Receiver and believe that my passion for the game and athletic abilities can prove useful in your Football Program.
At 6’0” and 160 pounds, from Plano, TX, with only 3 years of Football under my belts, I have started as a receiver all 3 years. Our feeder schools do not keep stats, but I am proud to share that my tenure as a football player/receiver, I am known as a “Go-To” Wide Receiver with approximately 11 touchdowns in 3 seasons (2 Rice Middle School/9 Jasper HS). The other sport I have played since the age of 5 is Baseball, as an Outfielder, Pitcher and Shortstop.
Based on my review of your school, and the coaching staff, I am looking for schools like yours; where I can find a good balance between the classroom and the field. I am pursuing a university with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of Sports and Fitness Management or Biological Sciences. In return, I plan to offer strong leadership and hard work that will rub off onto my teammates. It is my dream to play college football and I am willing to sacrifice in order to achieve my goals and wishes.
I hope to hear back from your office so that we can have a personable conversation about your program and how you can assist with my recruitment opportunities.
Sincerely,
Matthew V. Thompson
