I am a Senior attending Cedar Ridge HS in Round Rock, TX. I started my senior year in 2014. Our school is the newest in the district and has had a varsity squad for three years. I worked very hard as a freshman to insure my spot on the varsity squad, which I achieved. I have the ability to play both guard and tackle positions.
My goals for the rest of my high school career are to maintain my starting position and become a leader for my peers as we pursue our overall mission of a state championship. While athletics is an important part of my life I realize that academics are the ultimate purpose of school and want to attend a college/university to better prepare myself for my life after football.
I am interested in two areas of study either Sociology or Kinesiology. I am exploring my interest in Sociology by researching the study which gives me the opportunity to gain an understanding of the social career field while also instilling a sense of pride and civic responsibility in me. I have explored the area of kinesiology over the past several summers by working with the Strength and Conditioning camps held by our high school each year for the younger athletes of our local communities, I aided the coaches by supervising the young athletes in proper lifting, spotting and conditioning of their bodies for athletic success. My motivation is to gain the skills and knowledge to be able to play at the highest level of football and possibly some day coach young athletes as well.
