Brennan Skaggs, wide receiver/cornerback/safety.

I’m a year round multi-sport athlete (football, basketball, and track), in my senior year at Robert G. Cole High School in San Antonio, Texas.

My upbringing as an Army dependent has provided me with a deep appreciation for the value of hard work and a commitment to service. Throughout the many moves and relocations, athletics have provided me continuity and a grounding activity. I'm driven by the sense of purpose and achievement I get from consistent improvement through work and effort when competing in sports, especially football. My comfort zone is in  "the grind"...I'm willing to put in twice the work of anyone because I know it will pay off in the long run. I find a sense of clarity and calm focus in the high stress moments of competition. I am at my best as an individual when I'm playing my role as an integral member of a highly functioning team. I also appreciate the opportunity I'm provided as an athlete to serve as a role model to younger kids. My moral compass is strong and I am a young man of character, I do not give in to peer pressure.

I would love the opportunity to continue doing what I love, competing at a higher level while earning a quality college education. I'm interested in pursuing  course of study in biology. My eventual goal is to enter the healthcare sector with potential service as an officer in the United States Army.
