I am a 17 year old, Class of 2020, 6'5", 185 lb quarterback at Van Alstyne High School in Van Alstyne, TX. We finished the 2019 season at 7-5 and went 5-1 in district play. We won the Bi-District Championship by defeating Life School Oak Cliff but lost to Gladewater in the Area Round. I ended the season with 2034 passing yards, .597% completion percentage (105/176) and 22 total touchdowns (19 passing, 3 rushing).
Last year as a junior, I was enrolled at Texoma Christian School in Sherman, TX. We played 11 games and I ended the season with 1494 passing yards, 134 yards rushing, with 17 total touchdowns. My team made the TAPPS Division 4 playoffs and I was selected as Honorable Mention for Quarterback in my District. I spent my Freshman and Sophomore years playing for the Homeschool Athletic Association (HSAA) Varsity Football team in the North Dallas area. During my Sophomore season, I had 1565 passing yards and 18 total touchdowns in 10 games. The team did not keep stats my freshman year but I started in 6 games.
My current GPA is a 3.98 and score a 1090 on my most recent SAT test. I have a great work ethic in the classroom as well as on the field. This off-season, I am am working with my coaches at school as well as my private quarterback and strength and conditioning coach to improve myself in all ways. My plans for the off-season are to gain speed and agility, improve my footwork, and gain accuracy in and out of the pocket. I will also continue to work to get stronger in the weight room. This past spring, I played for an elite 7v7 team, C4 Sports, and we competed in multiple tournaments across the nation and against some of the best teams and talent at all levels.
I believe football is a brotherhood, so I pride myself on being hardworking, staying humble, and being a great teammate. On the field, I am a fast and willing learner and adapt quickly to game changes. Although, I will look at every option as a possibility, my top choice for a school would be somewhere that had stable hierarchy of coaches, where I could major in sports management and exercise science (kinesiology) and pursue a career in coaching.
