Every kid aspires to be one of the best, for me that dream began six years ago. As a kid I was uninspired and undetermined to do anything, but my sixth grade year I heard of this new sport called football. I was quick to sign up and throw myself into what can only be described as the hardest thing I had ever done, I was quick to realize this was not a sport where one can just show up and be the best so I started working. I played on the offensive line as a guard my first 4 years, but once I began high-school ball my size and speed got me put as the sixth line-men, the tight-end. With every step up in level of playing the work load increased and the effort I put in to it increased as well, the kid in me remembered I wasn't there to be anything other than the best. That attitude transferred to every aspect of my life from school to my family and social life. All of the sudden just being mediocre wasn't me, I stepped up my game in school going from the bottom 25% to the top 20%. Ever since I've started playing I've learned that I'm not done until the job is done, and to always outwork the man next to you.
