My football career started when I was five years old in flag and I began playing tackle at the age of seven. Playing every position on the field, I found my true passion as a linebacker and full back. Year-round I train to increase my speed and explosiveness on the field, including working with our school trainer and a personal trainer to condition my body to play at 100% for the whole game. I pride myself on being coachable and a hardworking student-athlete. Leading by example, I am the first one on and the last one off the field during practices and drills. My work ethic has enabled me to be selected as a captain for multiple games throughout my career at St. Anne's, and for the past two years, I have been recognized with All-State honors for both my Offensive and Defensive efforts.
I wanted to attend a private high school as a freshman to better prepare myself for the demands of college. St. Anne's is very academically challenging, and it is my hope that this level of preparation will help me achieve my dream of becoming an Engineer. My GPA is currently a 3.3/4.0. I am taking honors and AP classes to challenge myself, and am working continuously to improve my GPA to open more doors for my future. My ultimate goal is to attend a college or university where I can pursue a career in the engineering field while continuing to play the game I love.
I am proud to say that I am a smart football player as well as being book smart. I understand the game, individual position responsibilities and what it takes for our whole team to be successful. As a fullback, I understand the importance of blocking as much as when my own number is called and I do not take plays off. As a linebacker, I can make in-game adjustments and help my teammates read the next play. I have done everything that my high school coach has asked of me, including playing every down in several games in the past 3 seasons. I am the kind of athlete that you want in your program and the kind of student you want representing your school.
