Boaz Pogue '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Boaz Pogue, and I am a post graduate student athlete at Fork Union Military Academy. Over my  years in highschool, I've been moved all over the field, starting at quarterback, wide receiver, free safety, strong safety, and outside linebacker. Though I started a few games at outside linebacker during my sophomore year, my junior year was the first time that I began to hold a strong defensive role. I currently play the outside linebacker position for FUMA. No matter what the position, athletics have always been a huge part of my life. Coming from a family with multiple siblings receiving scholarships to play Division 1 sports, as well as a sister playing in the WNBA, I've always grown up around those who knew what it takes to be excellent in whatever they do, as well as have the dedication to do so. My mother, being a teacher, instilled the importance of academics to me at a young age. I'm searching for a school that strives for excellence in both academics and athletics, as I work to do the same.
