Coming from a family of wrestlers comes with high expectations. I began wrestling in kindergarten and I would say I was not the best wrestler and it took me years to become the dedicated wrestler that I am today. There were times in my middle school years that I wasn't sure if wrestling was even for me. Then once High School started I came into my own and realized that I wanted to continue wrestling in college. My dad says that I am a late bloomer when it comes to wrestling . I also have been blessed to have a coach that completely believes in me and wants me to reach all of my desired goals. My goals for college are that I would like to wrestle division 1 or 2 and have a winning record for my seasons. I am a good candidate for your team because I am disciplined, resilient, and determined. The things that make me different from other recruits in character are that I am 100 percent dedicated in and out of the wrestling season. The things that make me different in athletics is that when I started off wrestling I was not gifted at understanding the sport and I had to work very hard to where my skill level is at today and I will continue to get better by going to wrestling clubs and tournaments in the offseason. Lastly, the thing that makes me different from other students in academics is that I. will stride to improve my overall education, ask for help when needed, and use my time wisely to study. All in all I will work at my full potential in order to complete my goals. I thank God everyday that he gave me the strength and courage to continue to wrestle because it is a gift that I will not take for granted.
