My name is D'Metrius Williams (#3 DB Cornerback for Salem High Varsity Football team) in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I am asking you to consider me for a roster spot on your fall 2012 Football Team at your University. I am currently a senior at Salem High School and would like to attend college in the fall semester of 2012. I recently completed my junior year and I was the starting Cornerback for the past 2 seasons (on Varsity) In fact, I was moved up to Varsity in my freshman year as well. My team, the Salem Sundevils, made it to the Eastern Regional finals, where we played one of the top ranked teams in the state, Oscar Smith. I am a very hard worker and willing to do motivated and creative things to win. I have always been a team leader and I know that I can compete at college level. I have registered with the NCAA Clearinghouse as well as the College Board and I would be proud to play for your wonderful program and bring home the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. I am willing to work hard in order to receive a scholarship and become a member of your team as well as your University! I feel I am worthy of a shot because I will be there when no one else is! Whether there is rain, sleet or snow I will be there to better myself. I have a dream to become the greatest and I will not stop until I achieve that dream! I truly believe that at your University I can make my dream a reality! I have constantly worked towards increasing my GPA and have been taking AP and advanced courses for the past 3 years. I have taken the SAT a few times to increase my previous results. I have high expectations for myself as well as my goals and I am fully aware of your expectations (in reference to the SAT and ACT). Therefore, I scheduled myself to retake the SAT until I achieved a feasible score that met NCAA standards. At this point my GPA and SAT both meet NCAA standards.
Currently I am ranked the # 3 DB according to Virginiapreps.com’s video vault, #19 according to Virginia Pilot (for the Virginia Beach High Schools) and #37 overall on the top 100 according to Virginia.preps.com Class of 2012 Top Prospects.
I am as dedicated to my sport as I am to my faith, my family, my grades and life! I have great faith and I am very optimist. I also train hard daily outside of school at home (in what I call my training-zone room). I also train every Saturday morning at 4 am at Mt Trashmore. I played AAU baseball with the Tidewater Drillers (Coach David "Soup" Campbell, recreational basketball, Pop Warner football with the Virginia Beach Mustangs (Coach Bruce Pearl) as well before I began High school sports.
In closing, selecting me will be a wonderful great decision and a true blessing! I PROMISE to hold true to my word and never (let the coaching staff or the team down)! I will work hard and become the greatest in every aspect and give well over 110% in all that I do daily! All I need is the opportunity to prove my worth and you will have no regrets.
Respectfully, D'Metrius Williams
