My goal is to be the best version of myself. Sports have always played a large role in my life and my love for the game of football started after I played my first tackle game when I was 8 years old. Since then I have had the honor to represent town teams and James Madison High School on the field. Outside of football I have succeeded in baseball and basketball. These sports have helped me to mature athletically, develop better teamwork, and encouraged leadership.
My high school experience with football has motivated me to put everything that I can into the sport. This season (Fall 2021) my team was State Runner and last Season (Spring 2021-COVID) we were one game away from being in the 6A state championship in Virginia. Since then I have been putting everything I have into being a better athlete, lifting whenever I get the chance and working out with coaches and teammates throughout the week. My personal and team goals for the upcoming season are set high, so my efforts in the off-season are necessary. As my coach professes, “you win championships in the offseason”!
Academics are a focus of mine as well. I have been in advanced placement classes since 3rd grade and started taking high school level math in 7th grade. Since then my schedule has been filled with honors/AP and advanced classes with the efforts to maintain a GPA up to my standards. I am just as competitive in academics and I push myself to do my best, to be the best.
Sports, academics and life experiences have helped me to realize that effort is everything. This past year I was injured in a serious accident. I had to come back and focus on my physical and mental capacities so that I could return to sports and the classroom. This taught me to not take things for granted and that it is necessary to put forth 100% effort in everything you do to give yourself the best to opportunity to succeed. My goal is to be successful in life, enjoy my high school football career and play football at the next level, all while I continue to grow as a person.
