My name is Jackson Turner. I am a senior attending James Wood High School in Winchester, Virginia. My graduation year is 2020. Currently my GPA is a 3.76, I am also a member of The National Honor Society as well as being enrolled in several AP classes. Football has been a part of my life for 13 years now. It has changed me physically and mentally. When I was in 5th grade, my father found a travel football program in Northern Virginia called the "Loudoun County War Eagles". While being a part of this program, it turned me into a much better football player. However, what was most important about this program is how it affected me off the field. I became much more respectful, I took more responsibility, and I handled situations more appropriately.
When I am on the field, I know my assignments and as well as my teammate's. Whether it's calling out the coverage, or spotting a fullback crouched low, I'm calling it out to make sure my teammates know what is going on. To me, teamwork is everything in football. Playing as one unit and trusting each other is paramount.
My future goals include attending a 4 year college to further my education and play the sport I love. At this point in my education, I am currently undecided on a major. I do have an interest in music production and sports management. It has always been a dream of mine to play college football ever since I was young. I will continue to work very hard on and off the field to make that happen.
Thank you for taking the time to read my statement. I look forward to hearing from you.
Respectfully,
Jackson Turner
