I have been playing football since I was 7 years old. That was the age that I knew I wanted to play College ball. Playing for the Northridge Knights was a tradition for my family the parents from the team knew who I was before I ever played a game. My coaches taught me the basic skills that I would need in the game, I learned teamwork and dedication. Even when I moved and played for the Westside Warriors in Palmdale, California and had a game against the Knights I was still among family and friends. Individuals that saw me grow up on the field.
It wasn’t until I started my freshman year in Washington in a school and on a team that had players that had been playing together since the youth league that I realized how difficult this year would be for me. I knew I would have to work harder than I ever had to show my new team and my new coaching staff exactly what my abilities where but more importantly to gain their trust in my capabilities. This was the best thing that could have happened to me I learned to look at my strengths and weakness. To build a relationship with my new team and have confidence in my ability and that when all else fails train and strive to be better and that no matter if I am in California or Washington football is home.
