Zack Zimmerman '16 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'0, 210lb Senior captain, linebacker and long snapper from Sehome High School in Bellingham WA.  I count myself as very fortunate to have been able to play the great sport of football since the first grade through high school.  As you can imagine, having played football for most of my life, it has helped shape the person I am beyond my greatest expectations.  My passion and love for football and teamwork have been deeply ingrained in me and have set me on a course to set and achieve so many goals, on and off the field.

I began my football career in the first grade, playing competitive Pee Wee tackle football for the Renton Rangers.  It was at this young age that I realized how much I loved football and came to realize and appreciate the potential for my talents and instincts in the game.  Upon moving to Bellingham, I aspired to join a new football program that would continue to push me without limitations.  I joined the Ferndale Gold football team through the NCYFL, playing Linebacker and OL.  That year was one of the most amazing experiences in my life, as the team was formed from players of two rival cities (Ferndale and Bellingham) and we came together not only as teammates, but as brothers.  That year, we won the championship and finished the season with an undefeated record. 

At Sehome High School, I am a three year Varsity starter on the football team and am right around the corner of my fourth Varsity season in wrestling.  My goals are to give 110% in every aspect of my final year in high school, keeping my eye on furthering my education and athletic future.  I have never given less than my all in anything I have set my mind and heart on.  

The dedication, perseverance and determination I have learned through football has carried over to all aspects of my life, whether it is in the classroom, at home, or on the field.  I have my sights set on the future and look forward to continuing my football career and my education in college.
