Personal Statement

I'm Jon Wilkinson from Orting, WA. I am a 6' 2" - 185 pound Defensive Back graduating in 2017. I've played in 2 Offense-Defense Youth All-American Bowl games in Dallas, TX & Houston, TX. and the Offense-Defense Showcase All-American Bowl Game in Florida as a defensive back. I was also invited to attend Offense-Defense Elite Camp in 2012 and 2013, FBU Top Gun in 2014 & participated in the 2015 Top Gun in Ohio and was invited to the Offense Defense Showcase All American Games in Florida for 2015.

I have always dreamed of playing football at the collegiate level and the NFL. As of now I am 17 and a Junior at Orting High School, home of the Cardinals!  I push myself to become a scholar first and an athlete second. Football is very important to me and what drives me the most is knowing that the result of working hard academically and athletically could end up with a scholarship. I dream of playing at the University of Oregon as a Defensive Back. It would be my honor to represent a school with such a high level of play. One of my goals to get to college is to have a 4.0 GPA. I believe there is far more to life than football but there is a lot of football in life. One of my life goals is to graduate from high school and get a scholarship to a Division 1 A or Division 1 AA school. I am not sure of what kind of job suits me yet but I will work hard in and out of school and do whatever it takes to play college ball.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
