Matthew Mika '21 Recruiting Profile

Im a kid from Parkland, Tacoma. A place where most don't make it out as far as to the league or anywhere in most cases. I wanna make a change in the community that I love to live in, grow, go to school in, and play football in every day of my life. My love for the game is so unconditional. Im willing to do whatever it takes to keep playing. I love the fans cheering and booing every time we score, make a big play, and coming out of the locker rooms every friday at seven. My blood boiling ready to go, my mindset on a swivel after every play or the start of the play. Every hair on my body standing up. But, more importantly leadership. My leadership, isn't only demonstrated on the field but also off as well. If a player reacts to a play in a negative way, the right move isn't to do what they do. Keep your head up high, believe in what you can control; ball out and always go your hardest. Not all leaders can speak up for whats right, But I will do that for your team. Im also willing to play any position, or even sacrificing my spot for someone better for the better of the team. Know that Im not going down without a fight.
