I have high standards for my own performance, and I have been setting goals for myself since 6th grade to assure I meet those standards. I started playing football as a 3rd grader and fell in love with the game. In 6th grade, after playing quarterback for two years in youth league, I set a goal to earn the starting QB position at the middle school level. I achieved that my first season as a 7th grader. As I finished middle school, in 8th grade, I set a goal of starting at the varsity level by my junior year in high school. I achieved that goal a year earlier than expected, and started as the starting Varsity QB in my sophomore year. I also hold myself to similarly high standards beyond the field and into the classroom. I was a straight A student through the 8th grade and have maintained similarly with a GPA from 3.6-3.9 into high school. Preparing myself academically to excel at the college level I have taken as many college prep classes as possible and beginning this year are taking college classes through WVUP. I have also continued to prepare my body for increasingly higher level physical performance by never missing out in the weight room during the off season. My next goal is to continue this work ethic on and off the field at the college level, knowing the hard work it will take to achieve both. As I grow physically and mentally during my college career, I will strive to be an asset to my coaches, my team, and the college I attend, as well as to grow as an individual.
