Personal Statement

Hi Coaches! My name is Chase Nelson and I am a Senior and the starting Varsity QB and Rugby Punter for Appleton East High School. I have been fortunate enough to play both sides of the ball until Junior year and have highlights from both in my videos.  I've played QB on offense in all of my football seasons and in many positions on Defense including Safety, Corner, Middle Linebacker and Nickelback. As the leader of the offense I take pride in my work ethic and strive to make everyone around me better. I am a versatile player really looking forward to playing football in college and feel I will be a great addition to my future team and college community. I am open to play whatever position helps the team succeed.

Academics are important to me and I maintain a high GPA.  I am an officer in my School's DECA Chapter and on the leadership team in our Football program. I’ve been selected as a State and International competitor for DECA this year and was inducted into the National Honor Society. Being is a leader is something I've learned from football and have applied to the rest of my life.  I enjoy participating in volunteer activities that help our community.

I like to challenge myself and I am a very social person with many great friends. I look forward to all the opportunities and am excited to represent your school on the gridiron.
