My name is Andrew Ernstmeyer. I am a Senior and I attend Regis High School in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
My sophomore year I started Varsity , and my team won the State championship in division six. I started on offense and defense in the championship game. One of my key plays of the game was stopping Hunter Johnson (Offensive Player of the Year, preferred walk-on for the WI Badgers) on 4th and short to keep the momentum of the game on our side.
During my Junior year, I started both ways and my team made another long playoff run to the state semifinals. We ended up losing the game to Iola-Scandinavia. I led the team in tackles with 88.5 in 12 games.
I attended NDSU Football camp in 2017 and 2018, and won the Camp Champ award for Fullback both years.
I am one of the team captains this year, and I am excited to have the opportunity to play fullback this year. During week 3, I was nominated for Player of the Week by WisSports.net because of my performance in the Stanley game. I carried the ball 13 times for 169 yards and a pair of touchdowns, averaging 13 yards per carry. I also had a 16 yard kickoff return, 4 tackles and a sac.
I have a 3.7 GPA and one of my goals is to attain academic all state my senior year. I'm also in National Honor Society and I plan on getting a degree in Physical Therapy.
Playing college football has always been a dream of mine. I push myself everyday academically and athletically to turn that dream into a reality. I try to make others around me better by setting a winning standard. I hope to apply these skills to a college football team one day.
