To me, football isn't just a game. It has influenced many aspects of my life and changed who I am as a person. Adversity has come throughout my career, in injury or loss, and learning to overcome this not only makes me a better player but a better person. As for goals in academics, I aspire to graduate high school with a 4.0 GPA, which I believe is attainable with focus and hard work. In college, I want to continue to challenge myself with classes that will leave me with more knowledge.
A skill of mine that I believe sets me apart from others is the mental aspect of the sport. Being a quarterback, mastering the ability to read defenses, and knowing the "why" of certain plays and concepts makes it much easier to become successful. I feel that I am farther ahead in that category than anyone else in my class. Character-wise, I am a natural leader. People tend to gravitate towards me and will follow my lead. I bring others up and push my teammates to be the best player they can be. Overall, I feel that I am a player that coaches would want to have in their program.
