Luke Wood '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Luke Wood. I am 17 years old. I am a starter for Emmanuel Christian School’s Varsity Basketball Team in Dothan, Alabama. I will be graduating in 2023. 

I want to play college basketball because I love playing this game and I want to see how far I can grow as a player. 

What make me different from other recruits is I like to work hard not just so I can improve but to also help my team out as much as possible. I have been told repeatedly by my coach that I am very coachable and I would do anything for my team. I also am improving a lot on offense as I have become a really good 3-point shooter, my drives to the basketball have become more efficient, and my passing has also improved. My defense is pretty good as well. I want the person I’m guarding have to fight for every single shot he attempts because I want to shut him down. I try to be a nuisance to my opponents by being physical and playing with energy. I also like to get my teammates involved by setting on and off ball screens and finding the open man.

Academically I have always done well. I currently have a 3.9 GPA and I am one of the smartest in my class.
