My name is Chaunce Watkins a 6.2 185 guard playing at Chattanooga State Community College. I completed my freshman season playing on a team with 9 returning players that played a major role the year before. With that lineup I was able to see quite a bit of playing time as I made adjustments to playing college basketball. My scoring average was right at about 6ppg, Fg. pct. 51.0 and Ft. pct 74.5. I feel that from playing with those guys and great coaching from our coaching staff our team this year should be much improved. I see myself as being a integral part of that success as I continue developing into a better basketball player. Some of my strengths have been my ability to get to the basket, shoot free throws and be more focused on team goals and success. I am a family oriented young man that is very close to my immediate family who really supports me in all my endeavors. My goal is to have a successful junior college career and subsequently move on to the next level to play at a Division I or II school. With my positive attitude, hard work and the ability to get along with my peers, I believe that I can be an asset to a major college as I complete my college education. My ambitions are still the same as when I started this journey to play college basketball and that is to help others that are less fortunate than I.
