Greyson Sanford '23 Recruiting Profile

Winning the AISA State Championship my freshman year has been the highlight of my high school career. However, I feel I grew the most as a student athlete when our teams perfect season came to an end. We had a 21-0 streak come to an end in a 60-55 loss. I learned that our team was more than wins and losses. Naturally I was upset that we lost but this was an opportunity for us to grow as a team. Naturally we were upset as a team but this experience allowed me to grow as a leader and to refocus my own efforts on becoming a solid shooting guard capable of playing at the college level. The most important accomplishment of our season was that by refocusing and committing myself to achieving team goals we were able to win the state title later that year.

I am fortunate to be a part of an amazing program here in Alabama. I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice and leadership through the end to our perfect season. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically.I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team ,but the character, work ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As a three sport athlete holding state titles in two separate sports and being team captain in all three sports .I know I have what it takes to be a leader on your team.
