My name is Noah Rasmussen. I play point guard at Chandler Prep in Chandler, Arizona. I’ve been obsessed with basketball since I started playing when I was 5 years old. I have been playing club basketball since I was 9 years old, and now I am a sophomore in high school. I go to a classical academy where I take all honors classes, and I pride myself on the idea of academics before basketball. I am an all A and B student, and my favorite subjects are math and history. When I go to college, I want to study and major in architecture.
After my first semester of high school at Hamilton High, I transferred to Chandler Prep, which proved to be the right choice academically and athletically. During my freshman year, I played both JV and Varsity. On JV, I averaged 15 points and 4 assists while leading my team to an undefeated record. On Varsity, I got limited time, but it proved to be worthwhile, as I learned more about the game. It was also one of our best seasons in school history.
During this sophomore year, I only played Varsity, starting at the point guard position. This season we had a better record than last year. This season was a stepping stone in my career, as I had taken a role which requires a lot of leadership. This year, I averaged 9 points and 4 assists, was second on our team in scoring (leading in 3 point makes), first in assists, awarded the 'Coach's Award' and was named All 2nd Team for my region.
I have been playing club since I was 9, and have played with The Show, All-Stars Basketball Academy, Powerhouse Hoops, and currently Arizona Select. Arizona Select has been a good fit for me because of the excellent coaching staff, high competition, and elite exposure.
My main goal is to play college basketball. I am open to all options. I am a good student, feel that I am very coachable, and I am up for anything always. I am open to leaving my state for college, and I would love to have new scenery and meet new people.
