My collegiate goals are to continue to grow my game to the highest level possible, help my team by being the best teammate I can be and to pursue a strong and challenging academic program in my field of study of psychology. I plan to utilize my strengths of outside shooting, my basketball IQ and being a good teammate. My coaches have also noticed that I have progressed to where I am a strong defensive player, rebounder and passer along with my improvements in ball handling and driving. I was one of the leading 3-point shooters in 6A basketball in Arizona by hitting 49 3-pointers with a 44% 3-point shooting percentage. I was a leading scorer and one of the top rebounders on our team that made the 6A state semifinals while playing against high level large school Arizona competition. My continued progression has also gained the eyes of scouts as I continue to be highly ranked by Prep Hoops in the Arizona class of 2022. Scouts had previously invited me, and I played in the Arizona class of 2022 All-star game for 20 of the top players in the class.
Going back to when I initially started playing basketball, I was 5 years old and ever since then I have enjoyed playing the game for my school, club, and pure enjoyment. My main mentor throughout my basketball career has been my father; he has helped me grow since I was starting to play in kindergarten. From the start of playing basketball, I have been growing and learning about my character and how I live my life. I have noticed that whenever I join a new team, I can become friends with my teammates and form strong bonds. My friends look to me for advice because they know that I am trustworthy and will try and help them. My family has always been there for me and I have been there for them because a strong family bond is important to me and my culture. I have always respected my elders because I know that they have tips that can help me improve. This aspect of my character has allowed me to be very coachable as I am always ready to learn and flourish into a great student and basketball player.
