I got into the sport of water polo when I first moved to Arizona and my dad introduced me to our club team. I thought it was a good fit for the previous sports that I had played. During the first two weeks of trial, I loved the sport and wanted to pursue it. The team sport aspect mixed with the way water polo was played was so interesting and fun to me.
Since Arizona state does not have a high school water polo league, I currently play for a year-round club team, TOPAZ. I primarily play as an attacker, but I can also play utility if needed. In addition, I have swum at the varsity level since my freshman year of high school.
I would love to play this sport in college because it gives me the opportunity to take my game to the next level and refine my game. Adding on, it gives access to a wide network of coaches and players that I can get closer with and get better at water polo with. I really enjoy the comradery of team sports and atmosphere as well.
I am determined and hard-working when an important task/goal is at hand. I am generally a very positive and energetic person and am always willing to help out where help is needed. I always strive to get better to manufacture a stronger version of myself to better the team.
