I am a 6 foot 6" combo guard with a 6 foot 8.5" wingspan in my final year of high school in Arizona. I play as a wing/shooting guard to maximise my frame, speed and high basketball IQ. Scouts in the US have noted my 3-level scoring, vision, maturity, big impact across the score sheet and focus on getting the W. I play with a focus on the whole team, and getting the best result.
My Arizona high school team won the regional conference, and I led the team in PPG and Assists. We finished 9th in the 4A grade in the state, and I was named in the region and 4A AZ conference teams. I was also named Arizona Sun's high school basketballer of the year.
In August 2021, I moved to Arizona from New Zealand, to complete my final year of high school: playing varsity high school ball, looking to visit college campuses, and attend showcases and camps. I have since been selected to represent New Zealand at the Asian U18 Championships in August 2022. I also represented my NZ region's at Under 15 and U17. At U17 I experienced great success with last year being the captain, and the fourth leading scorer nationwide with another year left to play at the age-grade. I was captain of this team and captained/ co-captained my high school teams as well.
I am a strong scholar who joined one of New Zealand’s best sporting and academic schools on an excellence scholarship. I have since achieved an excellence endorsement in NCEA Levels 1 & 2, with a GPA of 3.6+ (top 80 credits at 3.82). In my US high school I have an A average across the board. I sat my first SAT in May 2021, and achieved a score of 1270. I am loving the opportunities that living and playing in the US has given me.
I can add leadership, versatility, high energy and effort, and 3 level scoring to any program, given the opportunity. I am a former representative rugby player with great size, strength, and wingspan for my position and am always working on increasing my strength and skills. My commitment, communication, and teamwork skills are valued by every coach I work with. I listen and am highly receptive to their advice: both on-court and off, and I am dedicated to improving myself and my game. I would relish and make the most of any opportunity presented to me to help further my basketball journey.
I have also enjoyed a high level of success as an athlete (throwing, high jump and middle distance), but as a result of my commitment to basketball, I have been gifted many once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. In the past three years, I have been in teams surrounded by players who have gone on to play professionally and at university. I am priviledged to have been coached by the legend Kenny McFadden, and have seen the level of skill and effort required to take me to the next level and I am ready to take that next step myself - so please contact me, my high school coaches or the New Zealand national U18 coach.
