Caden Stines '22 Recruiting Profile

I have played basketball since I was five years old but never knew how much I really loved it until a set back my 6th grade year, when an injury took me out of the game for six months. After that set back, I came back stronger and faster—joining two travel teams as well as my school team so that I could train throughout the year. My hunger to learn more and to lead in the game led me to be Captain, League Champions, and MVP my very first year in high school.

As a shooting guard my shot is strong. I have had several games where I have hit over 40 points. Additionally, I have lead the team in points my Freshman and Sophomore year. I am a versatile player and have played a small forward. This position is out of my size range however, I led the team in rebounds and steals this past season and made All League second team. My energy is contagious and motivating the team has always been a passion. I am the first one on the court and the last one to leave.  

 I am a hard working, coachable, and determined athlete. I train throughout the year with a private trainer and with a training facility. My sophomore year I wanted to increase my jump. I joined the track high jump team and was able make varsity, and this past season I placed 3^rd in regionals and CIF.  

As a scholar athlete, balancing school and sports has always been a priority. My goal has always been to play at a collegiate level. I hope to continue to play basketball while working on my undergraduate degree in Health Science.
