George Smith '23 Recruiting Profile

I’ve loved basketball since I first played on my school team in sixth grade.  I quit other sports and activities to focus on basketball only.  I love to compete and win, and I am a hard worker.  What  influences me most are my faith, family, coaches, teammates, and friends.  I love to be around people and be on a team.  The worst part about covid for me was having to be at home by myself without people.  I am a student athlete and doing well in school is one of my biggest priorities.  My academic goals for high school is to finish with a 4.0 or higher gpa, take all the AP classes offered at my high school except AP art by my senior year.  I am involved in FFA and I have raised lambs for the fair and participated in numerous FFA competitions and activities.  I am in Boy Scouts and I have finished my Eagle Scout Project and merit badges and I am working on the paperwork to become an Eagle Scout.
