Tai-Run Williams '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name Tai-Run Williams and I'm from Modesto, CA . I've been playing basketball since the 2nd grade . I started learning the game from my older brother who had played college ball in Texas. I also learned a lot from my dad who has coached me throughout my years of playing. My family is a big motivation to me and in helping me grow into an overall athlete. Not only do I play basketball but I play Volleyball, Golf and Cross Country. I would have played football but my high school doesn't provide that sport. In my free time, I help with coaching young kids with basketball and also help in my community. In my freshmen year, I avg. around 16 points  a game. In my sophomore year due to  Covid , my school didn't have any sports. This year as a (Jr), I avg. 28 points a game. I picked up my 1000 points this year but if the pandemic didn't happen, I could be looking at a 2000 point high school career. I have a 3.5 GPA right now but I am striving to raise that up even higher. Academics are a major factor for me with basketball and I don't settle for less. To sum me up in a few words. I'm about family, faith and hard work in whatever I do.
