Shant Karkotsyan '21 Recruiting Profile

I’m a highly motivated student athlete who works very hard to earn the opportunity to play basketball at the collegiate level. I’m a shooting guard for my high school varsity team as well as my current AAU teams. I’m a shooter who puts in a great deal of time and effort on a daily basis to improve my skills, but it wasn’t always like this. Freshman year I was on the Frosh-Soph bench and barely got any playing time and as a freshman in a new school I had to overcome the barrier of being the new kid at school and on the team of guys who have been playing together for multiple years. In the summer of that year i started consistently waking up at 5am to go to school early and get shots up with my coach. Sophomore year I was a starter on Junior Varsity, but this wasn’t enough for me so I kept  working hard and improving daily. My Junior year today, I am the starting shooter on Varsity and am confident in my work ethic and leadership skills and know I can help make an impact on your  team and would do anything for the opportunity to play college basketball.
